Phunny Phobias
If you met someone who was afraid of paper or wax statues, wouldn't you tell them to stop being so ridiculous and get over it? Every Monday, Null editor Hayley hand-picks another bizarre phobia and tries to work out whether it's real or rubbish.
This week:
Heortophobia: fear of holidays
What's so scary about it?
All that lazing around doing nothing while the sun beats down on your bronzing body - I can see how that might be scary. Oh come on! Holidays are what we live for. As my old Nan used to say, "When you're frightened of holidays, you're frightened of life". So stop being ridiculous
What do the scientists say about it?
Nothing. Zilch. Nada. It's listed on a few, very unofficial websites and that's about it.
Hayley says:
"They won't catch me out with this one - not even panphobics can be scared of holidays. Rubbish."
So far: Real 9½ Rubbish 10½
