Google Is Patently Cool
Afternoons have just got one step easier to waste with Google’s latest addition to their empire. Launched today, Google Patents allows you to search over seven million US patents dating back to the 18th Century.
From the assorted carrot-counting machines and fish-food preparation techniques (patented by a certain Mr Otter), we’ve picked out three little crackers for you to enjoy – also check out or patent lunacy section to find some of the most bizarre patents ever to grace both the US and the UK patent offices.
We quite like the three below for starters: Click on the little image for a full size picture.
Baby feeder
Looking more like a device for injecting milk directly into an infant’s brain, you can use this to fire your baby to a healthy future. Simply load it up, point and shoot (baby not included).
Pet carrying device
Hands-free, hassle-free pet transportation. Only becomes a problem when the ignominy forces your dog to sink its teeth into your upper chest. Suitable for most dogs (and presumably other pets) it can be altered to a variety of shapes to allow for both left and right shouldered fashions.
Toilet seat lifter
With this handy device you never have to face the mental pain of touching the toilet seat again. Looks pointless (it's a glorified stick!) but might just come in handy for fishing out floaters?
