Feng Shui Brings Bags Of Luck
By Helen Potter
In need of a little luck to brighten up these dull winter days? Ladies, it's time to feng shui your handbag!
Apparently the colour, how you hold your bag and what you put in it all affect your luck.
According to John Lok, principle consultant at Feng Shui 0011, holding your bag on your left is the best for gaining luck and wealth, as the left side of your body is a "green dragon" and brings power.
Bag colour is also very important. Girls looking to radiate confidence should sport "fire" colours (red, pink and angular shapes), whilst ladies wishing to appear approachable should stick to "earth" tones (yellow, brown and square shapes). "Metal" can inspire strength, while "wood" shades (green, light blue) indicate harmony. Finally "water" (black and dark blue) can indicate that the bearer should be treated with respect.
Quite what feng shui makes of a year's worth of receipts and some lip balm isn't clear, but the philosophy does suggest that the bigger bag is better, as when you are shopping it "captures" more of what you purchase.
Ladies, you hold your future in your hand(bag).
